Vietfas Attends the Lao Cai Province E-Commerce Development Conference 2025: A New Lever for Businesses in the Digital Era

The Lao Cai Province E-Commerce Development Conference 2025 has opened up many promising opportunities for businesses, especially in the field of cross-border e-commerce (CBEC). With its strategic location as a gateway for trade with China, Lao Cai holds great potential to develop two-way CBEC services, particularly in boosting exports to the Chinese market.

To realize these strategic goals, the conference proposed four key solution groups:

1. Developing Supply Chains for Signature Products

Focus on selecting signature products from Lao Cai and surrounding regions that are suitable for the cross-border e-commerce environment.

Conduct in-depth research on Chinese market demand — especially for medicinal herbs — to plan and develop stable raw material zones in Lao Cai and neighboring provinces.

2. Enhancing Vietnam–China Logistics Connectivity

Establish comprehensive logistics services from production facilities in Vietnam to end consumers in China.

Intensify research and implementation of China’s CBEC customs supervision models, such as 1210, 9610, 9710, and 9810, to optimize import–export flows.

3. Developing Infrastructure to Support Cross-Border E-Commerce

Build a dedicated Research & Development (R&D) center to serve the Chinese market.

Establish integrated spaces that include product showrooms, representative offices, and livestreaming zones for e-commerce businesses.

Organize cross-border promotional programs and events to increase engagement and foster connections between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises.

4. Training a Practical and Industry-Ready Workforce

Design training programs with practical application in mind, aligned with real business needs.

Strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and e-commerce businesses to build a hands-on ecosystem and provide career opportunities for new graduates.

With its strategic vision and a comprehensive set of solutions, Lao Cai is on the path to becoming a key cross-border e-commerce hub in the Northwest region of Vietnam.
