The first-ever Vietnam Fruit Festival was officially held in Beijing, China, marking a significant step forward in the journey to bring Vietnamese agricultural products closer to the 1.4 billion-consumer market.
The event showcased 12 types of premium Vietnamese fruits that are currently eligible for official export to China, including: mango, dragon fruit, banana, longan, lychee, watermelon, rambutan, jackfruit, mangosteen, passion fruit, durian, and coconut. Beyond promotion, the festival served as a powerful message of quality, credibility, and export potential of Vietnamese fresh produce in one of the world's most competitive and high-demand markets.

A surprising yet valuable highlight of the event was a chance encounter with a major distributor responsible for the entire Beijing market. This unexpected meeting opened the door to collaborate on introducing more high-value Vietnamese products, including bird’s nest and other premium specialties, through display, sampling, and eventual retail expansion in the Chinese capital.

This festival not only helped Vietnamese fruit gain attention from Chinese consumers but also reinforced trust and forged connections between producers, distributors, and end-users. It underscores the fact that the Chinese market is actively welcoming high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products, both through official trade channels and cross-border e-commerce platforms.

The debut event in Beijing represents a key step in the long-term strategy of promoting Vietnamese agriculture on a global scale — through export readiness, adherence to international standards, and smart market entry strategies.

Vietfas and its partners remain committed to supporting Vietnamese enterprises by building market connections, diversifying sales channels, and strengthening the presence of Vietnamese agricultural brands in China and beyond.
